A lifelong resident of Muskingum County, John is married to Mary Bates, a real estate agent. They have two daughters, Keela (Brad) Barker and Nicole (Mike) Zuniga, two granddaughters and one grandson.
John has been an auctioneer for fourty years. He previously was employed as a Production Manager and Process Engineer in Newark, Ohio.
He is a member of the VFW, Eagles and American Legion.
John is a member of the Zanesville Board of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
